I use this recipe to feed a bigger crowd,
if you are feeding a smaller crowd make adjustments as needed.
4 cups of fresh peaches sliced
1 cup of sugar (to be added to peaches)
1 cup of butter softened
2 cups of self-rising flour
2 cups of sugar (to be added to cobbler)
2 teaspoons of vanilla
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Peel and cut up the peaches.
Place the peaches in a greased, 3 quart baking dish.
1 cup sugar, Stir and set aside.
Cream 1 cup butter and 2 cups sugar in a seperate bowl.
Add slowly 2 cups of self-rising flour
Add 2 egg and 2 tsp. vanilla extract. Blend well.
Put topping mixture on top of peaches.
(It doesn’t have to be perfect because it will melt in the oven.)
Bake 35-45 minutes or until top is golden brown.
Don’t forget to garnish with vanilla ice cream!
