Harvesting Home strives to provide resources and inspiration on a variety of topics such as home decorating, cooking, faith and family, home/time management, hospitality, health, etc. and more in ways that honor God, hard work, integrity and family growth.

The name Harvesting Home is based upon Psalm 1:3 which says, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” As our lives, families, and homes are built upon strong foundation values, they will reap a harvest in not only our own lives, but in the generations to follow in our families and communities.
When you harvest something, that means you put some work in ahead of time. You’ve had to plow the ground, plant that seed, nurture it and grow it for it to bear fruit or bring forth the harvest. But there is also time of cutting down and pruning for that plant to grow.
Growing up I lived in 4 states and about 13 homes! My inspiration comes from my mom because no matter where we lived, she created a home that was welcoming, a safe place for us, loving and kind. It was always open. My father modeled integrity, hard work and a great work ethic. Harvesting Home hopes to share some of that advice with others.
This blog and our resources do not claim to have all of the answers by any means, but hopefully we can share lessons we’ve learned through our journeys. We look forward to learning from our followers and friends, and sharing their ideas and wisdom along the way as well!
