Learning to Lead

As we head into the week ahead, I want to encourage you with this simple, yet powerful quote:
“Be the kind of leader that you would follow.”
What makes a good leader?
- Values others
- Integrity
- Selfless
- Visionary
- Motivational
- Inspirational
- Decision-maker
- Collaborator
- Humble
- Listener
These are certainly not all of the qualities a good leader will have. Some have more, some have less, but all leaders exhibit qualities that put them and keep them in positions of leadership, whether official positions with a title or unofficial roles of leadership where they possess great ability to influence others toward a cause or goal. What other qualities would you add to this list? Please comment below with some others that are important!
I challenge you to identify one or two of these qualities of a leader, or one of your own suggestions, and strive to build these qualities into your life this week! No, it does not happen overnight, but it can happen over a period of time if you will be intentional about being the leader you want others to be.
Whether you lead from the board room or the playroom, you have the ability and privilege to inspire those around you!
