Banana Pudding Mason Jars

The delicious, traditional banana pudding just got even better! This easy and quick recipe is perfect for a party or family gathering. Not only does it taste wonderful, but the presentation will make your guests feel so special.

Equipment

  • small mason jars with lids
  • 1/2 yd of patterned fabric
  • wooden spoons
  • ribbon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Box Small Nilla Wafers
  • 5 Medium Bananas
  • 1 Large box Instant banana or vanilla pudding
  • 3 Cups Milk or Half-n-Half
  • 1 Can Eagle Brand
  • 1 16 ou Container Cool Whip

Instructions
 

  • Prepare pudding according to package directions with 3 cups milk. Refrigerate until set.
  • Line bottom of mason jar with small, Nilla wafers.
  • Top the Nilla wafers with a layer of sliced bananas.(approximately 5 slices.)
  • When pudding is set, fold in Eagle Brand and 12 ou. Cool Whip. Make sure to reserve approximately 4 ounces of the Cool Whip. Refrigerate 10 minutes.
  • Top layer of bananas with layer of pudding.
  • Top pudding with a layer of Cool Whip.
  • Repeat layers. Add a few crushed Nilla Wafers to the last layer of Cool Whip.
  • Cut circles of fabric and place over lid of the Mason Jar. Add the ring to seal fabric on the jar. Hint: I just used the lid from the Cool Whip container as my template for the circle.
  • Tie a ribbon around the jar and secure the wooden spoon to the side of the jar with the ribbon.
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
