Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream & Chocolate Syrup

Delicious homemade vanilla ice cream with creamy, chocolate fudge syrup that will have your guests lining up for seconds!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 eggs
  • cups sugar
  • 1 lg can Pet or Carnation Evaporated Milk (Not Eagle Brand)
  • milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 4 oz unsweet baking chocolate
  • 1 stick margarine
  • cups sugar
  • 1 10 oz can Pet or Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Beat eggs and sugar together then add canned milk.
  • Put in ice cream bucket and fill to line with regular milk.
  • Put in 1 tablespoon of vanilla (or to taste).
  • Freeze according to your ice cream freezer's instructions.
  • For the Chocolate Fudge Sauce:
    Melt on low:
    4 oz unsweet baking chocolate
    1 stick margarine
    Add:
    2½ cups sugar and melt over low heat, stirring
    Gradually add:
    10 oz. evaporated milk
    1 tbsp vanilla
    ½ tsp salt
